This week we will be meeting Lola the Poodle.
Lola is the last pet in our second bracket so she is eligible to win a $25 prize.
She is up against the other 2nd bracket contestants which include: Mack: Week 5, Elsa: Week 6, Rusty: Week 7 and Jazzy: Week 8.
Who will get your final vote? Let’s meet Lola before you decide.
This precious Toy Poodle was a rescue. She arrived early for Christmas. She was found just roaming around the neighborhood this past Christmas Eve. She was all matted up and her fur was filled with fleas, gum and trash.
She was taken in by a dog lover and got cleaned up and posted on Facebook as being found. No one ever claimed this adorable fur baby as their own, which was probably a good thing because dog lover Tabitha, fell in love with her right away.
So once it was determined that no one was looking for her she was named Lola and became a permanent member of Tabitha’s family.
The vet determined that she is about eight years old.

My humans call me Jazzy. I am an adorable ball of love. I am a spunky spirited Miniature Schnauzer. I was born on July 27, 2016. I am looking forward to celebrating my second birthday later this year.
I live in South Georgia with my Mama, Daddy, Sister and Brother.
At my house, I rule the roost. What Jazzy says, goes. What Jazzy wants, Jazzy gets.
I love to relax on the couch with my Mama. We snuggle and she rubs my belly. I am always happy as long as I am with her. I always have to be touching her. She is my favorite person in the whole world.

Hello World. I’m Rusty! I am a Labrador/Catahoula mix and I live on a farm! My job is to protect the land, keep an eye on everything and make sure all things are running smoothly. I am only 14 weeks old but I take my job very seriously.
When it is time for my break I like to spend it with my canine buddy Rocky. We like to wrestle each other. When they get home from school, I love to greet my human brothers, Jay, 9 and Drew, 6, and play with them for a bit before getting back to work patrolling the farm.
I live for the outdoors. I just love having the freedom to run around and enjoy the fresh air! Continue reading Rusty: Week 7 Featured Pet
This week we bring you a fairly newly developed designer dog breed called the Huskimo. The Huskimo is a cross between a Siberian Husky and an American Eskimo.
This sweet fluffy girl is Elsa. She was born on November 18th, 2017.
The Huskimo grows to be a medium to large dog weighing 40 to 60 pounds and measuring 21 to 24 inches tall. They have a thick and long coat with common colors being red, gray, yellow, black, and white and.
Elsa is a very affectionate dog. She is devoted and loyal, playful and energetic. She is friendly to everyone and is full of joy and curiosity. Elsa loves to be held like a baby and she is super snugly and loving.
This breed is known to be a great family dog but her bond with her family means she is not good when left alone and can suffer from separation anxiety. Elsa does always want to be close to her parents. If they go too far without her, she will whimper to let them know she wants them to come closer to her.
Like most puppies, Elsa loves to spend a large part of the day napping! She also loves to play with her canine brother. They chase each other around really fast, and get rowdy together.

Some dogs have nervous, fearful, and anxious tendencies. The reason for this can be caused by a few things. If you bring a new dog into your home it’s important to be able to notice a scared dog and know how to help them cope.
How To Notice Signs of Anxiety
These traits can manifest in the form of shyness or even aggression. Anxious dogs can also become destructive. Signs of anxiety are trembling, whining, growling, panting, elimination, hypersalivation, excessive barking, and destruction.
If the dog shows signs of aggression towards strangers, children or other dogs, they should be closely monitored because they can harm someone else out of fear.
What Causes Canine Anxiety?
Some dogs have generalized anxiety which means that they’re anxious regardless of what the circumstances are. Poor socialization as a puppy or owner abuse is a common reason for why an adult dog would behave this way most of the time. Other dogs only get anxious during certain times like when traveling, boarding, during thunderstorms, trips to the vet, or grooming.
